Windrush Valley Prep School Oxfordshire is proud to announce the outstanding performance of our pupils at the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Athletics event held at Bedford International Stadium. Selected from Years 4 to Year 6, our pupils showcased their remarkable athletic abilities and sportsmanship, making our school shine among the competitors.

The young athletes represented Windrush Valley Prep School with pride and determination, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. Notably, Freya, a talented Year 4 pupil, displayed exceptional speed and endurance, securing an impressive 3rd place in her race. Her achievement is a testament to her hard work and dedication.

Additionally, the Year 5 boys’ team demonstrated remarkable teamwork and skill, reaching the highly competitive Relay final. Their synchronised efforts propelled them to this fantastic accomplishment, highlighting their dedication and teamwork.

However, success in sports goes beyond individual achievements and team accomplishments. The spirit of sportsmanship, perseverance, and personal growth holds equal importance. Each participant displayed unwavering commitment, resilience, and a positive attitude, embodying the values we foster at Windrush Valley Prep School.

Competing in prestigious events like the ISA Athletics nurtures a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among schools. It allows young athletes to challenge themselves, set personal goals, and learn valuable life lessons through sports.

At Windrush Valley Prep School, we prioritise the holistic development of our pupils, nurturing their academic, behavioural, and physical potential. The ISA Athletics event provides a platform for our pupils to develop discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, and resilience – skills that extend beyond the sports field.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the pupils who participated in the ISA Athletics event. Your dedication, hard work, and outstanding achievements are a testament to your passion for athletics and personal growth. We also express our gratitude to the teachers and coaches who supported and guided the children throughout their training.
