Best Private School Oxfordshire – The Sunday Times
Windrush Valley Private School Oxfordshire is, for the fourth year running, listed in The Sunday Times Best 100 schools league table.
The league table is based on Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) results in Reading, Grammar and Mathematics, and is published annually. The school soared from the 51st ranked private school in England last year to 21st this year. The ranking makes it the best private school or state school in Oxfordshire.
Small class sizes, highly experience teaching staff, and a focus on academic excellence are the fundamental tenets of the school.
Mrs Amanda Douglas, BA(Hons) QTS, Headteacher, commented, “To be recognised as one of the best schools in England is a tremendous result. I am immensely proud and thankful to pupils and staff. It reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the school.
“We do not specifically prepare pupils for SATs test, instead we provide a well-balanced and broad curriculum to deliver academic and behavioural excellence. In addition, our commitment to small class sizes, which currently average ten pupils per class, enables us to provide the children with individual attention on a regular basis”.
