Competitive Sports fixtures against other schools

As we reflect on the recent sporting events at Windrush Valley Prep School, it’s evident that our pupils have once again showcased their talent, determination, and sportsmanship on the field. From competitive fixtures against other schools to our thrilling Inter-house challenges, the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie has been palpable throughout.

In the recent competitive fixtures, our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 pupils displayed exceptional skill and resilience. The Year 3/4 boys’ football team delivered an outstanding performance at Cokethorpe, emerging undefeated and securing victories against The Oratory and Cokethorpe. Likewise, the girls’ netball team demonstrated commendable effort, winning one game, drawing one, and putting up a spirited fight in their match against Kitebrook and Cokethorpe.

Moving up to the Year 5/6 teams, the girls participated in football games at Sibford school, where they showcased their skill by winning one match, drawing one, and competing valiantly against Kitebrook and Sibford. Meanwhile, the Year 6 boys engaged in an exhilarating match against Sibford, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw in a closely contested encounter. We are incredibly proud of our pupils for their exceptional performance and the positive display of sportsmanship they exhibited throughout the fixtures.

Inter-House Sports

In addition to competitive fixtures, our Inter-house challenges have been a source of great excitement and camaraderie among the children. This term, our pupils participated in Netball and Football events, representing their respective houses with enthusiasm and determination. We are delighted to announce that Cotswolds House emerged victorious in the Netball event, showcasing teamwork and skill on the court. Similarly, Cheviots House demonstrated their prowess in the Football challenges, securing victory through their dedication and teamwork.
