Nurturing Well-Rounded IndividualsWINDRUSH360: Nurturing Well-Rounded Individuals
At Windrush Valley Prep School, we believe in educating the whole child, fostering not only academic excellence but also strong character and social responsibility. Our WINDRUSH360 programme is designed to cultivate these qualities, encouraging every pupil to develop into a well-rounded individual.
Effort, Kindness, and Respect
WINDRUSH360 is built upon the core values of Effort, Kindness, and Respect, which are integrated into three key areas:
- Inspiring Excellence (Academic – Work): Focused on academic achievement, critical thinking, and determination.
- Building Character (Personal – Values): Emphasising bravery, resilience, and positive thinking.
- United in Purpose (Social – Society): Promoting reliability, responsibility, and teamwork.
These areas are reflected in our school Houses:
- House Warrior (Work): Representing focused, determined, and critical thinkers.
- House Valour (Values): Representing brave, resilient, and positive thinkers.
- House Sentinel (Society): Representing reliable, responsible, and team players.
Through WINDRUSH360, pupils are rewarded for their progress in each of these areas, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and personal growth.

The Journal of Achievement: Charting Progress
Each pupil maintains a “Journal of Achievement” to document their journey through the WINDRUSH360 programme. These journals are tailored to each stage of development: EYFS, KS1, and KS2. Within each year, pupils progress through three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. In Year 6, a prestigious Platinum level is added.
Achieving Points in Work, Values, and Society
Pupils earn points by making progress in each of the three core areas. As they complete each level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum), they receive a “Certificate of Achievement” specific to the area and level attained.
At the end of each academic year, pupils who achieve the same level across all three areas receive a special WINDRUSH360 badge. This badge, displaying the pupil’s year, is worn proudly on their school blazer and can be added to each year, showcasing their ongoing development.
