Windrush Valley Prep School Oxfordshire is proud to announce that all its pupils that undertook this year’s English Speaking Board (ESB) examinations, passed with grades of, Merit, Merit+ or Distinction.

Windrush Valley Prep School Oxfordshire provides its pupils with a broad and inspiring curriculum, which includes, literacy, language, mathematics, science, technology, human & social, sports, art and music. In addition, it has an outstanding pedigree in the performing arts, music and public speaking competitions. The ESB examinations are included within the school’s programme and involves pupils reciting a poem from memory, reading a passage from a favourite book and giving a talk on a topic of personal interest, which includes a Q&A session.

The results

Pupils from the school’s Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 took part in this year’s ESB examination. The results were as follows:

Grades:
Ungraded – the number of pupils who achieved this grade = 0
Pass – the number of pupils who achieved this grade = 0
Good Pass – the number of pupils who achieved this grade = 0
Merit – the number of pupils who achieved this grade = 7
Merit+ – the number of pupils who achieved this grade = 31
Distinction – the number of pupils who achieved this grade = 17

As well as delivering academic excellence, the school also provides a range of initiatives that  promote confidence, leadership and exceptional social skills. The ESB examinations is just one such example of the initiatives we participate in.

These results come on the back of Windrush Valley Prep School Oxfordshire being ranked in the top 100 schools in the UK, as compiled by the Sunday Times. Rankings are based on SATs results. This ranking resulted in us being classified as the best prep school Oxfordshire”.
