Structure
The school caters for children from 3 to 11 years. The school is organised into three broad age bands - each reflecting an appropriate stage of development. Class sizes are kept at a realistically low level throughout the school, thereby ensuring the high adult-to-child ratio that is a cornerstone of the school’s methodology and success.
Teachers work and plan together, both within and across each stage. This high level of professional co-operation facilitates individual progress and ensures appropriate preparation for the pupils’ next stage of education.
The age bands at our school are:
- The Foundation Stage for pupils aged 3 – 5;
- Pre-preparatory (Key Stage 1), for pupils aged 5 to 7 (Years 1 and 2), and;
- Preparatory (Key Stage 2), for pupils aged 7 to 11 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6).
