The following activities, if chosen, are charged for separately:

  • Before school care £7.00 per session.
  • After school care @ £7.00 per hour (minimum charge 30 minutes).
  • End of term activity week @ £38.00 per day (pro rata available).

  • Pupils entered for external examinations are charged the appropriate fee applicable at the time of entry.

Please note

All regular school and curriculum activities are met through the current fees; for example, there are no further charges for individual examination coaching, swimming or music lessons. Pupils must, however, provide their own recorder and tuition book for music. Additional instrumental tuition is charged separately.

Parents of pupils with special educational needs may be required to pay an additional amount, or be advised to seek additional tuition external to the school, where it is judged that those needs cannot be adequately met through the current fee structure or school organisation.

Occasional activities arranged to support curriculum programmes; for example, one-day drama workshops, field trips and visits to museums, are charged additionally to the above fees. They include the cost of admission, specialist tuition and the like, only.

All fees are due on the first day of the term to which they relate. There is no remission of fees for reasons beyond the control of the school; for example, illness, family holidays or inclement weather.

Fees are reviewed annually in August.

Terms and Conditions

  • Parents are asked to complete and return the Application for Admission form. There is a registration fee of £75, which is non-returnable.

  • The basic termly fee, together with any extras from the previous term, must be paid in advance of the first day of each term. The Headmaster reserves the right to refuse entry to any pupil whose fees have not been paid as required. Cheques should be made payable to Windrush Valley School Limited.

  • In the event of a cheque being dishonoured or no cheque being received, the Directors reserve the right to charge interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (or some such sum as the Directors may from time-to-time decide) until such time as the account is settled. Any costs incurred in recovering outstanding accounts will be charged to parents.

  • The Directors reserve the right to increase the fees as and when necessary.

  • Parents, resident or paying outside the United Kingdom, may be asked to pay an extra term’s fees in advance of the first term’s fees. This Holding Fee is required to avoid difficulties concerning the transference of currency between countries. The Holding Fee will, if no problems arise in the meantime, be set against the final term’s fees. All fees from whatever source must be in UK sterling.

  • No rebate will be given for closure of the school for reasons beyond the control of the school.

  • In the event of withdrawal, parents are required to give a term’s notice in writing to the Headmaster, or to pay the full term’s fees in full in lieu of such notice. Were a pupil to be withdrawn half way through a term, there would be no reimbursement of that term’s fees. The Headmaster may request the withdrawal of a pupil whose continued presence at the school may seem undesirable. In such circumstances there will be no reimbursement of fees.

The Headmaster is hereby authorised by the parents, in loco parentis, to take and/or authorise all decisions in relation to the pupil as may be, in the opinion of the Headmaster, in the best interests of the pupil and when no contact can be made with any parent or other person authorised as above.
